Football fans dreaming of England’s glory days will want to keep Thursday 12th March firmly in their diaries, as Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones’ Specialist Collectors Auction will include an exceptional line-up of pre and post-war football memorabilia.

Perhaps the most exciting of around 25 carefully curated lots is what can only be described as a true piece of footballing history – a 1966 World Cup Final programme for the historic England v West Germany match. Signed by ten of the England squad who played that day at Wembley, alongside manager Sir Alf Ramsey and then Prime Minister Harold Wilson, this is a truly generation-defining piece of history.

Early 20th Century Rarity

Equally eye-catching is a Tottenham Hotspur vs Wolverhampton Wanderers 1921 FA Cup Final programme – signed by the entire Spurs team and their manager. Such early 20th century programmes are increasingly scarce, particularly examples so well autographed.
