Former Nelson’s Distillery Team Launch New Micro Distillery Honouring Founder’s Legacy

Staffordshire, UK.   Two former members of the award-winning Nelson’s Distillery team have announced the launch of their own micro distillery, Chuckle Engine Spirit Company, following the sad passing of Neil Harrison the visionary owner behind Nelson’s Distillery.

Having worked closely under Neil Harrison, the founders David and Sue of Chuckle Engine Spirit Company developed their craft, passion and expertise within one of Staffordshire’s most respected distilling environments.  Now, they are bringing those skills forward into a new venture that both honours his legacy and reflects their own creative direction.

Neil Harrison was widely regarded not only for building an award-winning distillery and products, but also for mentoring those around him.  His dedication to quality, innovation and traditional distilling methods left a lasting impression on his team - an influence that continues to shape the ethos of Chuckle Engine Spirit Company.

“We owe a great deal to Neil,” said David Hunter. “His knowledge, encouragement, and attention to detail helped define who we are as distillers today.  Chuckle Engine Spirit Company is, in many ways, a continuation of the standards he set, combined with our own vision for the future.”

The founders are committed to preserving the craftsmanship and integrity they learned during their time at Nelson’s Distillery, while also introducing new and distinctive expressions under the Chuckle Engine name.

Further details on product launches and availability will be announced in the coming months.
