A new parent and baby group has officially launched at Better Together Community HQ in Trent Vale, offering a welcoming weekly space for parents and their babies.
The group, called Everyone Matters, began on Monday 2 February and is part of Little Humans CIC, who already run a parent and toddler group at the West End Centre on London Road in Stoke.
Session Details
Sessions take place every Monday morning from 9.30am to 11.00am. No booking is required and free hot drinks are available, making the group accessible and relaxed for parents at all stages.
The sessions are led by Tiff and Sheena, who both recently became parents for the second time and have volunteered with Better Together for over two years. Speaking about the group, Tiff and Sheena said it would be a:
“...calm and supportive place where you and your baby are truly welcome, whether you want to chat, sit quietly, feed your baby or simply take a breath, we are here to walk with you.”
The Everyone Matters group will initially run until the summer holidays, when a decision will be made about its long term future. While the new group is running, the popular Cuppa Paws dog café has moved to 11.30am to 1.30pm on Mondays.
A Passion for Support
A spokesperson for Better Together said: “supporting parents through the challenges they face and helping them and their children to thrive is something about which we have always been passionate”.
They added: “Tiff and Sheena are both valued members of our volunteer team and bring a wealth of lived experience to this new venture”.
